Our goal is to help those in need
|
Over this past year we have simplified
our message – food shelter hope – the basics for people in need
coupled with the belief that there is a brighter future on the other side of
homelessness. We work every day to make the connections between and among
services so that homeless individuals can focus on what they need to do to
change their situations. We haven’t perfected the process.
Even our very experienced social workers and medical staff have difficulty
maneuvering all of those disparate systems. But we keep working at it
because we know that while systems may often fail, people rise to the occasion
and provide support and help for each other.

In 2005 an average of 165 guests
stayed at the shelter per night, many of them homeless for the first time.
