Our
goal is to help those in need

SERVICES

Crisis Ministries provides social services, primary and mental healthcare and counseling in addition to the basic needs of food and shelter to over 150 homeless men, women and children every night.

The five essential components to helping guests move up and out are:

Case Management

Every guest is assigned to a Social Worker that identifies potential barriers to success, creates goals and develops a workable plan to return him or her to self-sufficiency.

Primary Healthcare

A Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse work daily to provide guests with health assessments and primary treatment.  Two psychiatrists provide evaluations for guests suffering from mental illness.

Men’s Dorm

The men’s dorm shelters over 100 men each night.  A Transitional dorm houses up to 14 additional men who are following treatment plans and showing progress toward achieving self-sufficiency.

Family Center

As the state’s only shelter that offers separate housing for women and children and allows married parents to stay with their children, the Family Center houses up to 65 guests nightly.

Soup Kitchen and Food Rescue Program

365 days a year, anyone in the community who is hungry can receive a hot, nutritious lunchtime meal in our Soup Kitchen.  A refrigerated Food Rescue truck collects donations from area grocery stores, restaurants, and individuals to keep the Soup Kitchen running. Both of these programs depend upon dedicated volunteers and donors that keep them running.

At the heart of all of our work is case management. Case managers help guests get the assistance they need - medical care, employment, counseling, child care, and more - with an ultimate goal of helping individuals to live self-sufficiently, with dignity.

The Health Clinic and Social Services staff serve over 1,500 individuals each year..
